The Bunmi Adedayo Foundation has disclosed that the EdTech Training in Content Production, Virtual Teaching Skills and Technology for all 216 shortlisted schools to participate in the Tech-Relevant Teacher (TRT) Project will commence on Saturday, March 13th 2021 and would last for 4 weeks.
The Project Manager, Mr. John Klutse, disclosed this while organizing a demo session for all project beneficiaries on how to navigate through the Foundation’s Learning Management System, www.balearner.org. He charged all the participants to make the best out of the opportunity to ensure no crisis or pandemic such as COVID-19 stops them from continually impacting in the near future. He explained to the participants that the training would be carried out completely virtually, involving the completion of weekly Modules on the BAF Learning Management System and also participating in live classes on weekends.
Earlier, the Programme Director of the Foundation, Mr. Femi Martins charged the beneficiaries to be committed to personal investment and growth while expecting to add value and be relevant in the teaching provision. While reassuring them of the Foundation’s determination to support them all through the project, he urged them to remain self motivated and participate till the end.
Also, Mr. Jude Ashiedu, the Lead Trainer of the Edujetage EdTech Services, the EdTech Partner on the project told the participants the though the training would be virtual, it will be very practical, requiring them to perform tasks, take quiz, do assignments and participate in group discussions.
All the beneficiaries have been grouped into 4 groups of 54 schools each. Group 1 and Group will take their live trainings on Saturdays while Group 3 and 4 will take the trainings on Sundays.
